About Horus/Trevor Goodwin
The Architect of Toronto Urban Art: Trevor Goodwin
For over three decades, Trevor Goodwin—known in the streets as Horus and in the studio as TuffyTats—has been a foundational pillar of Toronto’s visual landscape. Emerging from the underground graffiti scene of the early 1990s, Trevor was among the early waves of writers to transform the city’s grey alleys into vibrant, narrative-driven galleries.
His journey is one of constant evolution. From the raw, high-stakes energy of illegal aerosol art in the 90s to becoming a celebrated muralist and fine artist, Trevor has never stopped pushing the boundaries of medium and form. In 2010, he successfully bridged the gap between the wall and the skin, transitioning his signature bold, illustrative style into the world of professional tattooing.
Under the moniker TuffyTats, Trevor operates as a master of "Graffiti" design—a unique fusion of street-level grit and technical precision. His work often features iconic motifs like the Hannya mask, mechanical skulls, and the geometric "Eye of Providence," all executed with the sharp line work of a seasoned tattooer and the explosive color palettes of a graffiti king.
Today, Trevor continues to practice in Toronto, balancing large-scale public murals. tuffytats.com is the latest chapter in this legacy—a digital vault where 30 years of urban history meets modern craftsmanship, offering everything from high-gloss epoxy originals to limited-edition "wearable art."
